In continuation of Egypt’s efforts to support Pakistan’s flood victims, the Egyptian government has decided to sent another three C-130 cargo planes containing humanitarian assistance.
The assistance consists of tents, medicines, dry food items and other things, said a press released issued on Thursday, adding that each cargo plane shall arrive consecutively on coming Friday, Saturday and Sunday from August 27 onward.
The embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt is coordinating with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to hand over the assistance, it said.
It is worth mentioning here that this aid is the second instalment of relief to the flood victims. The first consignment containing humanitarian assistance was arrived on August 7 on board of two C-130 cargo planes and handed over to NDMA.
“The Egyptian government and its people pledge to stand, side by side with their Pakistani brothers at this moment to help our Muslim brothers in Pakistan,” it said.
