Chairman-Designate Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Khalid Shamim Wyne paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani here at the PM House on Wednesday.

The Prime Minister welcomed the new CJCSC and congratulated him on his appointment to this important position.He expressed the confidence that General Khalid Shamim Wyne would perform his duties with professional zeal and would improve the level of coordination among the three armed forces of Pakistan.The Prime Minister hoped that in his capacity as Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, he would work to cater for the professional needs of the armed forces to further strengthen the defence of Pakistan.
