Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Monday reiterated the commitment of the government to continue its efforts till the complete rehabilitation of all the flood affected people.
He expressed his satisfaction that not only the federal and the provincial governments are making concerted efforts to provide relief to the flood victims but the opposition and civil society have also played their due role in mitigating the sufferings of the flood victims.
The Prime Minister was talking to the Chief of JUI (F), Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. Babar Awan and Minister for Interior, Senator Rehman Malik, who called on him here at the PM House on Monday.
The Prime Minister expressed confidence that all the political parties and the civil society will manifest the same spirit during the reconstruction and rehabilitation phases.
He stressed upon the joint efforts to galvanize the relief activities.
Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman appreciated the Prime Minister’s reconciliatory political approach and his keen interest in relief and rehabilitation of flood victims.
Both the leaders exchanged views on overall political situation of the country and expressed their determination to keep the democratic process working in the country.
