One-day International batsman Khalid Latif of Karachi has been named to lead a 15-member Pakistan squad in the XVI Asian Games schedule to held in Chinese city Guangzhou from November 12 to 27, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Wednesday.
Teams from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal in the T20 Cricket Championship included in the continental sporting extravaganza for the first time as medal sport.
Pakistan is fielding its third string mostly of young players for the competition.
Pakistan squad is: Khalid Latif (Captain), Sharjeel Khan, Sheharyar Ghani,Azeem Ghumman, Akbarur Rehman, Naeemuddin, Naeem Anjum (wicketkeeper), Usman Qadir, Sarmad Bhatti, Aizaz Cheema, Lal Kumar, Muhammad Irshad, Raza Hassan, Bilawal Bhatti and Jalat Khan.
Chaudhry Muhammad Anwar (Manager), Sadiq Muhammad (Head Coach) Munawwar Hussain (Trainer), Muhammad Asad (Physiotherapist) Shakir Khilji (Skill/Performance Analyst) are officials of the team.
