Mekaal Hasan band will perform live-in-concert at Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) on September 28.
Organized by Ministry of Culture, the musical evening will be held at PNCA auditorium with an aim to collect donation for the flood affected people.
PNCA is holding musical shows as a regular feature of its activities while all the recently held shows were organized to contribute for flood victims by the artists’ community, said Tauqeer Nasir Director General PNCA.
The PNCA has launched a nationwide campaign with the participation of artists belonging to visual and performing arts to collect funds for rehabilitation of flood affected people.
He said the artist community has its own expression of motivating the general public and the PNCA is utilizing this aspect for supporting the flood victims.
“It is our foremost duty to shoulder this responsibility in bringing back smiles to the lives of these displaced people,” he stated.
Mekaal Hasan Band is a sufi rock band belonging to Lahore with band members who each have roots in differing genres, including jazz, classical music, soul music, and sufi rock.
The combination of each member has created a sound which has earned them fans from a variety of quarters.
