President, Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Abdul Majid Haji Muhammad and Chairman Taxation Sub-committee Qamar Usman have appealed to the FBR to extend date of e-filing return of income upto October 31 in view of floods in the country.

In a news release issued here on Saturday, they said in current scenario especially when the forms are made available just one month before the final date of filing return of income there are high chances that more then 50% of the returns could not be furnished.

They demanded of the FBR to extend the date of filing till October 31st so that more taxpayers can get the chance to file their return of income and more revenue could be collected by the national exchequer which is much needed in the current state of affairs for development and welfare expenditure by the government.
