The compensation of Rs 20,000 to each family of flood victims would be completed within 30 to 40 days while Rs 1,00,000 would be given to the affected families for the construction of their houses after that.
This was stated by the Provincial Minister for Finance and Planning & Development Tanvir Ashraf Kaira in a statement here on Wednesday.
He said computerized identity cards and Watan Cards were being issued to the victims within 48 hours of the entry of their data in NADRA Centres.
He said that 80 more villages of Muzafargarh have been declared flood affected and their residents would be provided compensation on priority basis.
The minister said that NADRA centres were working in all affected areas and people should enter their data in these centres. He said that aid was being provided in a transparent way and all arrangements have been made foolproof.
He said that the complaints of the affected people would be resolved immediately and directions have been passed to all concerned quarters.
Kaira said that the process of payment of Rs 20,000 to flood victims has been expedited and the government was providing this amount to them on priority basis.
While taking notice of the security arrangements at NADRA Center Kot Addu, the Provincial Minister directed DPO to increase the number of security personnel at the center.
He asked the affected people to get their names registered with NADRA so that they could be provided financial assistance at the earliest.
The Minister appreciated the performance of staff at NADRA Centers and said that due to their good performance Watan Cards were being distributed timely among victims.
