Saudi envoy, Rehman Malik discuss relief efforts

Ambassador of Saudi Arabia Abdul Aziz bin Ibrahim Al-Ghadeer called on Minister for Interior A. Rehman Malik here on Sunday and discussed the bilateral relations between both the brotherly nations. Both the dignitaries also deliberated upon the assistance and rehabilitation of the flood affected people. The envoy also enquired after the health of the minister who had met a minor accident while en-route to Sibbi on Saturday. He also exchanged Eid greetings with the minister.
Rehman Malik said Pakistan highly valued its relations with Saudi Arabia and the valuable contributions made by Khadim-ul-Harmain Sharifain King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz and Saudi Interior Minister Prince Naif bin Abdul Aziz for Pakistani flood victims.
He said President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani also were indebted to the extraordinary assistance to the flood victims.
The Saudi envoy said Saudi government and its people stand by their Pakistani brethren and they were donating for them wholeheartedly in this critical situation. He also informed that he had spent the Eid Day with the flood affectees like a normal Pakistani citizen and relief goods, sweets and medicines were distributed among them.
