A comprehensive programme for women empowerment is being initiated.
This was announced by the Sindh Minister for Women Development, Ms. Tauqeer Fatima Bhutto.
She said here on Wednesday that a comprehensive programme ‘Advocacy for Women Empowerment’ is being started to create awareness among women for their rights and to solve the problems.
The Minister pointed out that this programme will be implemented in many phases in order to get the better results.
Ms. Tauqeer informed that the purpose of the programme was to empower the women in the society and also to highlight their important role.
According to this programme a course in two modules will be completed and this will be helpful for the women how to reduce poverty and to get awareness about the legal rights.
The Minister added that a documentary film would be made for highlighting women’s problems and the social work of the women would also be documented.
She said that documentary film would highlight the important role of the women, their work and it would bring certain positive changes in the society.
Tauqeer Fatima Bhutto said that according to the programme article and essay writing competitions at school and college level would be conducted on women issues and their solutions.
She said that seminars, exhibitions and conferences will be held all over the province to create awareness regarding women rights.
