Pakistan’s left-arm spinner Abdul Rehman continued to torment New Zealand’s batsmen and set up an inevitable first test victory inside three days as he helped bowl New Zealand out for 110 in their second innings late on Sunday.
Pakistan need just 19 runs to win the match after Rehman and Wahab Riaz ran through their second innings, with the hosts at one stage losing four wickets for one run after tea and seven for 35.
Rehman, who bowled an unchanged 29-over spell and tied down New Zealand in the first innings, again created tremendous pressure with his flat deliveries and had figures of three for 24 off 15 overs.
He also combined magnificently with left-arm pace bowler Wahab, who ended with three for 38, while Umar Gul mopped up the tail to finish with three for 28.
