Rs. 70 billion Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) by the PPP-led coalition government is aimed at addressing the financial grievances of the poor segment of society.Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Farzana Raja was breifing a MQM delegation here Tuesday.
Referring to BISP various programmes including monthly cash grant,Waseela-e-Haq, Waseela-e-Rozgar, Life Insurance as well as ongoing nationwide Poverty Score Card survey, she said BISP is being implemented in all four provinces and Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Islamabad Capital Territory(ICT).
She thanked the delegation for their support in the process of poverty scorecard survey.
The delegation was all praise for BISP and assured of support to government’s measures for reducing poverty in the country.
