MQM announces to boycott AJK elections

Mutahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Saturday announced to boycott Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) elections.

At a press conference MQM leader Farooq Sattar said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) wanted that MQM should give up contesting on anyone of the two seats, he added, the polling were postponed when MQM refused to withdraw contesting from the same seats.

He said that law and order situation of Karachi was used as an excuse to illegally postpone the elections in Karachi.
