Altaf accuses ANP of breaking Pakistan

By: Muhammad Ejaz, Uploaded: 9th September 2011

MQM chief Altaf Hussain has accused the leadership of Awami National Party (ANP) of seeking to “break Pakistan.”

Addressing the media in a video conference from London, the MQM chief said, “I am also addressing those who want to break Pakistan up.” Speaking further, Altaf Hussain said that the history of Pakistan being taught in institutions is not based on facts and is not what Jinnah envisioned.

Carrying the accusing further he said that during the 2008 elections ANP Chief Asfandyar Wali Khan was provided several million dollars by the US.

“If I was against Pakhtuns then why did they support MQM across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa when it (MQM) announced day of mourning” Altaf said.

During the video conferencing the MQM Chief said that innocent people were tortured and slaughtered by terrorists in the past days.
