Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar and Director General Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) Lt Gen Ahmad Shuja Pasha on Thursday briefed the participants of All Parties Conference (APC) on the issue of national security in response to the recent allegations by the United States.
The APC, convened by Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani at the Prime Minister House, was joined by the country’s political and military leadership to dwell upon the statements by US officials accusing Pakistan’s intelligence agency of supporting a terrorist network.
The inaugural speech of Prime Minister Gilani, was followed by the briefing of Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar. She apprised the participants of her meetings with the US Government officials during her visit to New York to attend the UN General Assembly session.
Hina said she assertively presented Pakistan’s case during her meetings and highlighted the immense sacrifices rendered by the nation in the war against terrorism.
The Director General ISI briefed the meeting about the challenges the country was facing at military front.
The briefings were followed by a question and answer session.
