More rains likely in Punjab during next 48hrs

Northern areas of the country are expected to receive rain over the next two days, the MET office predicted on Wednesday.

Heavy rains are expected in parts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Islamabad, Rawalpindi and other areas of Punjab received rain on Wednesday turning the weather pleasant.

According to figures released by the MET office, Rawalpindi received 61 MM rain, Islamabad 18, Sargodha 42, Mianwali 28, Malam Jabba 21, and Lahore received 13 MM of rain.

Intermittent rain continues in some areas of the province and the MET office has predicted more rain for the twin cities, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha and Faisalabad. Heavy rain is also expected in Malakand, Hazara, Kohat, Bannu and Peshawar.
