Nato attack: Funeral prayers of soldiers offered

The funeral prayer of the martyred 24 soldiers, who embraced martyrdom in yesterday Nato attack in Mohmand Agency has been offered at the Corp Headquarters here on Sunday.

Chief of the Army General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, Governor Pukhtunkhawa Governor Barrister Masood Kausar and KPK Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti, Corps Commander Peshawar, federal minister for Railways Ghulam Ahmed    Bilour, provincial ministers and other high military and civil officials attended the funeral prayer.

Floral wreath was laid on the coffins of the martyred soldiers who laid their lives for the defence of the country. Later, their bodies were shifted to their native villages and towns for burial.

Earlier, the Chief of Army Staff visited Peshawar CMH and enquired about the health of wounded soldiers. Tough security arrangements have been made on this occasion.
