The Ministry of Foreign Affaris has appointed Moazzam Ali Khan, a senior officer of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as the new Foreign Office Spokesman. A notification to this effect was issued here on Tuesday.

Moazzam Ali Khan, currently working as Director General European Division at the Foreign Office, joined the foreign service of Pakistan in 1986. He has post graduate degrees in Economics and International Relations.

Moazzam Ali Khan has served the foreign office in coutnries like  United States, Holland and India. Besides serving as Foreign Office spokesperson, Khan will also hold his current position as Director General European Division.

Abdul Basit was the spokesperson of foreign ministry before Moazzam Ali Khan.
