Karachi: Firing incidents in various localities; Death toll reaches 9

Nine people have been killed, in different incidents of target killing in various parts of the city.

Two dead bodies were found early morning in Orangi Town area which were later moved to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

A man was shot dead by unidentified men near New Sabzi Mandi while another man named Shoaib was injured in a firing incident in Ram Swami who later succumbed to his wounds and died in the hospital.

Two men were shot and injured at Jehangir road and Liauquatabad who were rushed to hospitals for medical attention while a man was shot dead by unidentified motorcycle riders in Malir.

One person was shot dead near Bilawal Chowrangi in Clifton, earlier today, while another person was shot down in Teen Hatti area of Karachi.

In other incidents, late last night, Kachi Market in Orangi Town was set to fire, burning down the remaining shops and stalls inside the market.

Meanwhile, rangers carried out a search raid in Gulistan-e-Jauher and recovered heavy amounts of weapons and ammunition. The rangers conducted this search operation based on intelligence they got from arrests made a day before the raid.
