Spokesperson to the President, Farhatullah Babar stated that Prime Minister was convicted for defending the constitution. He issued this statement late on Thursday.

Mr. Babar elaborated his statement by uttering that Dictators have never been convicted in Pakistan’s history, though they have always sabotaged the constitution of the country.

While talking about the options, the President’s spokesperson stated that all democratic, legal and constitutional options would be weighed before addressing the challenges faced by the government.

He further reiterated that all challenges would be addressed without denting the democracy prevailing within the country.
