LAHORE: A group of lawyers on Tuesday once again thrashed an ASI in the premises of Lahore High court (LHC) without any reason.

According to the sources, ASI Khalid came for the hearing of a case in the court, while he refused to oblige the advocate.

Advocate Rafiq and Shahid Iqbal along with other colleagues subjected the sub-inspector to torture when he appeared before the Lahore High court Justice Anwar ul Haq beating him and tearing police uniform.

Later, other police officers intervened to control the situation.
A case has been lodged against the suspected lawyers including Advocate Rafiq and Shahid Iqbal. The victim has also appealed Lahore High Court Chief Justice to take action against lawyers who have made it their profession to pressurize police and the lower judiciary through acts of vandalism.

It was the second incident today when lawyers subjected the police personnel to torture in the Provincial Capital.
