Minster for Interior A Rehman Malik on Saturday announced to open offices of NADRA and passport in 30 countries within six months to facilitate overseas Pakistanis.
He was chairing a high-level meeting held here to discuss issues of overseas Pakistanis with regard to the National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) and passports.The meeting was attended by the Federal Interior Secretary, the Director General Passport, NADRA Deputy Chairman, Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Director General National Crisis Management Cell and other officials concerned.The minister said around 86 Pakistan embassies did not have NADRA and passport offices. He said in next two months passport offices would be opened up in South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Holland, New Zealand, Bradford, Manchester and Birmingham. The overseas Pakistanis will also have the facility of machine readable passports at these offices, he said.
