Tarbela Dam: Water reaches dead level

ISLAMABAD: The quantity of water in Tarbela Dam is stable at the dead level, compared to Mangla Dam where water is at 52 feet, currently. Aaj News reported.

Water level in Tarbela Dam, reached dead level point which is at one thousand three hundred and seventy eight feet (1,378 ft), on Tuesday.

A total water inflow of 33,400 cusec feet, was recorded in Tarbela Dam while the total consumption of that water was recorded at 42,700 cusec feet.

According to IRSA authorities, due to decreasing temperatures the flow of water is below its average pace.

Tarbela Dam is the first to reach dead level among other major dams of Pakistan.
