Turkish PM arrives in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan would be arriving today (Sunday) on a three day official visit to the country on the invitation of Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani.

The Turkish Prime Minister will be accompanied by the First Lady and high-powered delegation.

During his visit, the Turkish Prime Minister will address the joint session of the Parliament on Monday.

The Turkish Prime Minister will also co-chair the second High Level Cooperation Council meeting along with Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani in Islamabad. Both leaders will address the joint press conference later on after signing five Agree

ments of Cooperation between the two countries at the P.M. House. It may be mentioned here that the first High Level Cooperation Council Meeting was held in Turkey in which Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani represented Pakistan in December 2010.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Gilani will host state banquet and luncheon respectively in honour of the visiting Turkish Prime Minister and members of his delegation. The Turkish PM will depart from Pakistan after conclusion of his 3-day official visit on May 22.
