Zardari approves nomination of eight Judges

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday approved the nomination of five Judges of Lahore High Court and three Judges of Balochistan High Court.
The President also gave a one-year extension to four Additional Judges of the Lahore High Court.
The Judges of Lahore High Court, who have been confirmed include Justice Altaf Ibrahim Qureshi, Justice Abdus Sattar Asghar, Justice Mehmood Maqbool Bajwa, Justice Ameen-ud-Din Khan and Justice Muhammad Ameer Bhatti.
The tenure of Justice Ch. Muhammad Younas, Justice Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah, Justice Syed Muhammad Kazim Raza Shamsi and Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmed Khan has been extended for a period of one year by the President as per the advice of the Prime Minister. (APP)
