18 candidates have come forward to contest Gilani’s vacated seat

MULTAN: 18 candidates, including Abdul Qadir Gilani have submitted their nomination papers over the vacated seat (NA-151) of former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani.

Abdul Qadir Gilani and Ali Haider Gilani have submitted their nomination papers,  within the Election Commission office in Multan, representing PPP. The PML (N) candidates that have submitted their nomination papers include: Ishaaq Bucha, Malik Jahanzeb Bucha, Nawab Nadeemuddin and Farhan Ansari. 12 other independent candidates have also submitted their nomination papers.

The Election Commission will issue a final list with respect to the candidates after inspecting the nomination papers. The elections would be held on 19th July, whereby more than 350,000 people would use their votes in order to elect their representative.
