CJ rejects Zahid Bukhari’s appeal for a larger bench hearing

ISLAMABAD: Malik Riaz’s lawyer, Zahid bukhari’s appeal has been rejected by Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry. This news was confirmed by Registrar Supreme Court while talking to AAJ News.
According to AAJ New correspondent, the rejection of the appeal has been cited because of various reasons. One of the major reasons for the rejection is that Supreme Court hearings are always carried out by a two-member bench until and unless any valid reason is provided not to do so. Zahid Bukhari, on the other hand has not also provided any reason for a larger bench.
A two-member bench comprising of Justice Idrees Khawaja and Justice Khilji Arif would be hearing the case on Monday.
