Lahore: 2 dead in over-head Bridge collapse

LAHORE: A section of recently constructed bridge of Lahore Ring road in Harbanspura area collapsed on Thursday which caused deaths of two persons travelling in a truck passing under the bridge at that time.

According to Rescue 1122 the collapsed portion of the bridge has been removed and efforts were underway to retrieve bodies of the two deceased trapped in the flattened truck.

Meanwhile, Commissioner Lahore Javaid Rafiq Butt briefly told media that full scale investigations will be carried out to ascertain the cause of the mishap.
