Samsung Launches World’s Thinnest Notebook

Samsung Electronics launched its world’s thinnest and the most compact notebook on yesterday on 25th June,’12 in UAE. The company is confident of the advancement in this section.

Denzil D’souza, business head of Notebooks at Samsung Gulf Electronics told that “The Company has observed 65 percent increase in the first quarter of 2012 as compared to 2011.” They reported to have 65 percent growth in 2011 than 2010 in GCC countries excluding Saudi Arabia.

Regarding Samsung’s market share in the UAE, he said: “In organized retail, we are close to 10 per cent and there are many other places or channels where we are still exploring to develop our market share.”

The latest Notebook is available at all the major retail outlets in UAE in 13-inch and 15-inch version. The 13-inch Series 9 is available in i5 processor and i7 processor options, with the price specification of Dh5, 299 and Dh5, 999, respectively. The 15-inch Series 9 with an i7 processor costs Dh6, 299.

“The first generation of the notebook struck the right chords with our consumers and we are positive that the new Series 9 will be equally well received,” D’souza said.

The New generation Note book is a unique model of craftsmanship and is so designed, to keep its lead in the market with its incredibly thin looks and fast i5 and i7 processors. The 13 inch notebook of series 9 is the worlds thinnest and the most compact notebook, where as 15 inch version is claimed as the worlds thinnest and the lightest notebook.
