By: Zuhaeb Nazir, Uploaded: 25th July 2012

KERALA: Sathar Adhoor, an author in India has claimed to have published the smallest literary publication in the world. The book published by Adhoor, measures 1 centimeter in dimension and is made up from a single sheet of paper.

Adhoor stated that small religious books such as the Bible and the Quran stimulated him to publish his own literary work in the smallest possible form.

The 68 paged book comprises different stories and a collection of poems written in 66 local and foreign languages. The author has applied for India’s Limca Book of Records as well as Guiness Book of World Records in order to gain proper acknowledgement.

The book is stated to be smaller than Adhoor’s own nail.

Earlier in 2008, Adhoor had written a book measuring 1.5 cm and it weighed 3 grams. Adhoor gained appreciation for his earlier  effort as well.
