KARACHI: Newly appointed Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Fakhrudding G. Fakhruddin made this statement while addressing a gathering at the CEC Sindh office on Thursday.

Fakhruddin said that the current elections would be a challenge and he would ensure that transparent elections are conducted within the country. He also said that the upcoming election would help in changing the fate of the country.

“We want to ensure the elections are conducted in such a transparent way that nobody gets the chance to criticise it,” stated Fakhruddin G. Ibrahim.

On his visit to the Sindh office in Karachi, the new CEC was briefed Sindh Provincial Election Commissioner Sonu Baloch. During the briefing, Fakhruddin was informed about the preparation of election lists along with reports over the by-elections and the current pending cases of CEC within the Courts.

While informing the media representatives, the newly appointed CEC stated that the new electoral lists would be issued by July 31.
