
United States is potential market for Pakistan to import high quality food products meeting its local requirements through enhanced bilateral trade ties and coordination among businessmen.
In meeting with businessmen here, David L. Wolf, Senior Agricultural Attaché, US Department of Agriculture USDA said US can fulfill Pakistan’s demand of packaged food items, beverages with its brands and variety prepared in accordance with demand of global markets.
Richard T. Drennen, Agricultural Counselor USDA briefed on current scenario of US food imports, potentials, issues in imports of food, beverage in restaurant industry.
The meeting is part of ongoing efforts to disseminate knowledge, seek opportunities in food trade between two countries, facilitation in imports. Businessmen spoke on bilateral trade issues. Import of food items are not possible directly to Pakistan due to repacking, sourcing from UAE, proper warehouses needed in Pakistan to keep food items at required temperature. PPI
