ISLAMABAD: After the approval from Cabinet, Ministry of Industry prepared subsidized Ramadan package worth rupees 2 billion 53 crore and 20 lac.

According to the sources,  at all utility stores essential items will be available at 15 percent subsidized rates. Industrial Ministry has also approved funds of rupees 1 crore for the advertising campaign of the Ramadan relief package.

Essential food items included in the Ramzan Relief Package are Atta, Ghee, Dal Chana, While Gram, Dal Mong, Dal Mash, Baisen, Dates, Rice Basmati, Rice Sella, Rice Broken, Cold Drinks, Squashes, Tea, Spices and Tetra Mil Packs.

The prices of the package will be applicable from 15th of July. According to sources currently 5700 utility stores are working across the country. Out of which 70 percent utility stores are in rural areas, for provision of relief.
