KARACHI: Criminal Investigation Department (CID) have claimed to have arrested 11 miscreants including a Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) man and a target killer. The CID police also stated that they have foiled a terrorist attempt by diffusing a bomb on the University road. The Bomb disposal unit have sent the report in this respect.
Different special teams of CID police arrested 11 terrorists from different parts of Karachi on Friday. CID have claimed to have recovered six TT Pistols, six 9mm Pistols and heavy ammunition from the terrorist’s custody.
According to SSP CID Chaudhry Aslam, the TTP man arrested during the operation was identified as Naseebullah aka Moosa while another man identified as Mehboob Ali was also arrested, who upon investigation confessed killing 15 individuals. The other 9 arrested are reported to be involved in hijacking, extortion, dacoity and other street crimes.
The CID also foiled another terrorist attempt by diffusing a bomb. According to reports, the 15 kilo bomb was planted next to the wall of a private school situated on the University road. Upon receiving the report, the police and the bomb disposal squad reached the spot and later diffused the bomb.
According to the bomb disposal unit, the bomb had two detonators attached to it and was similar to the bombs recovered from Jinnah Hospital and Sachal Rangers Headquarters.
