Karachi: Two individuals arrested while trying to smuggle more than fifty ancient artifacts as the police raided the place.

Following the information given by the intelligence agencies, the police conducted the raid and seize the artifacts in question, accordingly.

The arrested individuals told the police that the owner of the artifacts was one person named Atif Butt.

Meanwhile, the value of the artifacts was being analyzed, according to DSP Awami Colony Majeed Abbas.

It is believed that the approximately 2,000 years old artifacts actually were from the Gandhara area and could be sold in the International market for millions.

They are usually acquired by illegal diggings and later on smuggled out of the country via Karachi.
