Inamul Rahien, counsel for Brigadier Ali Khan stated that he had sent a letter to the Army Chief Gen. Asfaq Pervez Kayani – in which he appealed that his client must be kept in an A class prison and should be provided the details of his case proceedings.

Brigadier Khan was arrested previously for his alleged involvement in Army General Headquarters attack. Rahien said that his client has a cardiac ailment and has been kept in a C-class prison since 3rd Aug, 2012.

Furthermore, he said that in accordance with the Army Act 283, 284 – brigadiers are kept in A-class cells and his client should be shown the same courtesy.
