LAHORE: Zulfiqar Khosa, senior member of the Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) has shown greater belief in his party after his differences with the party administration were resolved on Saturday.
Zulfiqar Khosa and Nawaz Sharif met in Raiwind in order to reconcile the differences. Following the meeting, Raja Ashfaq Sarwar stated, “Zulfiqar Khosa was the advisor to CM and would continue to remain the same.” He further added that Zulfiqar Khosa would remain a PML-N member as all his grievances have been resolved.
The differences between Khosa and PML-N arose five months ago during April when Dost Mohammad Khosa had to resign from his provincial ministry following actress Sapna Khan’s abduction case. A case was registered within the Race Course police station accusing Dost Khosa of kidnapping and murdering his wife Sapna Khan.
Following the resignation, Dost Khosa was asked to vacate the government residence in GOR-I to which he later accused the PML-N leadership for “lack of support and back stabbing” during the Sapna Khan case.
The differences later widened with several PML-N leaders including Rana Sanaullah accusing the Khosa family for lack of transparency and honesty.
Earlier in August 2012, Zulfiqar Khosa resigned as the CM’s senior advisor but his resignation was not accepted by the party leadership.
