Karachi: ANP leader escapes grenade attack

KARACHI: Awami National Party Sindh’s General Secretary Bashir Jan escaped unhurt in a hand grenade attack on his vehicle in Frontier Colony, police said.

DSP Rustom Nawaz told APP unidentified assailants threw hand grenade as the ANP leader’s car was passing through Siri Baba street in Frontier Colony. He said the grenade hit another car that was protecting the ANP leader, injuring two persons travelling in the car.

The injured, identified as Asif and Mannan, have been shifted to hospital.

Police have started investigation into the incident.
