MUMBAI: An Indian model, Leena Kapoor, has accused Pakistani cricket umpire Asad Rauf to have sexually exploited her after promising that he would marry her. According to sources, the model has filed a written complaint with Mumbai Police in this respect.

The Mumbai model Leena Kapoor has filed a comprehensive written complaint with Deputy Commissioner Mumbai, Pratab Daigwakar and has stated that she met the Pakistani umpire 6 months ago within Sri Lanka via a mutual friend. The first meeting ended up with an exchange of contact numbers and this contact later turned into a strong bond of friendship.

The model stated that she lived 3 days with Asad Rauf within Sri Lanka and later returned to Mumbai. Upon her return, she became unwell and Asad Rauf followed her to Mumbai and promised to buy her an apartment after marrying her.

According to the model, Asad Rauf notified her of his marital life and convinced her by stating that his religion allowed more than one marriage.

Leena Kapoor stated that she was later promised again for marriage by the Pakistani umpire during Asad Rauf’s umpiring stint for IPL Season 5.

Indian Police officials have confirmed the receipt of the complaint and have stated to launch an inquiry into the matter.
