Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has shown strong eagerness to proceed with their Waziristan rally despite receiving threats from Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). The intent to carry on with the rally has also been stated on PTI’s website.

PTI chief Imran Khan has kept a rigid stance over the rally issue stating that threats like these would not deter his plans to proceed with the peace caravan.

“A man of faith doesn’t fear death & a march for peace against drones that have destroyed millions of lives of FATA ppl is worth dying for,” Imran Khan tweeted.

“Everyone needs to know that our Peace March is against the drones killing the ppl of FATA & against a debilitating war imposed on Pakistan,” added the PTI chief in his tweets.

Many notable personalities have also underpinned the peace rally. Salman Ahmad, guitarist of the former Pakistani band “Junoon” was also seen extending his support for the peace rally.

“I’ll be traveling with IK’s peace caravan to Waziristan,” tweeted the guitarist.

The party is supposedly displaying its resolve against the drone attacks by carrying out this peace rally within the troubled area of Waziristan.
