LAHORE: Pakistan People Party (PPP) saw yet another of their member take the exit route when Chaudhry Ahmed Saeed announced his decision to join the Nawaz Sharif led Pakistan Muslim League on Monday. The decision was announced after Chaudhry Ahmed Saeed met the top officials of PML-N inculding Chief Minister Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif and Mian Nawaz Sharif.
Chaudhry Ahmed Saeed, brother of Federal water and power Minister Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar, represent PPP from the city of Gujrat, Punjab.
The differences between Ahmed Saeed and PPP arose when the ruling party joined hands with the PML-Q, Saeed’s bitterest political enemies within the Gujrat region.
Chaudhry Ahmad Saeed is the former chairman of the Pakistan’s National Carrier, Pakistan International Airlines and Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited. He resigned that position in 2005.
