KARACHI: The owners of the Baldia garment factory, which caught fire on Wednesday, have stated that the fire brigade arrived late at the spot following the fire and the news stating that the exit doors were blocked is totally incorrect.

While talking to media representatives on Friday, owner of Ali enterprises Arshad Bhaila stated that they are comprehensively blamed for the incident, “which is incorrect as the fire brigade was late to reach the affected spot.

The owners of the factory were talking to the reporters, after receiving 8 days bail from Larkana registry of Sindh High Court on Friday. “I was present there when the fire erupted and I personally called up the fire brigade,” stated Arshad Bhaila.

“The accusations that there was not water within the area where the factory was situated or that the exit doors were closed are all baseless,” he added.

He further stated that the family members of the victims would be properly compensated and that all the injured would be provided full medical assistance as well.
