KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has allocated the additional portfolios to the Provincial Ministers which were vacant after the resignation of Pakistan Muslim League-Functional and National People’s Party over sharp differences on the Sindh People’s Local Government Ordinance 2012,.

According to the notification issued here Thursday, the portfolio of Special Education has been allocated to Rafique Engineer, Mines and Minerals Department to Sadiq Ali Memon, Livestock to Agha Taimoor Khan and the portfolio of Auqaf has been allocated to Nadeem Ahmed Bhutto.

The notification, however, did not specify if the resignations of the ministers of estranged allies of the PPP-led coalition were accepted.

According to the officials, after the resignation of PML-F’s minister Muhammad Rafiq Banbhan, the portfolio of Auqaf Department will hold by the PPP minister Nadeem Ahmed Bhutto, who already is minister for Katchi Abadies Department.

Similarly, after the resignation of Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh of PML-F, the additional charge of the special education department has been given to the PPP minister for Archives department Advocate Muhammad Rafique Engineer, while the portfolio of Mines and Mineral Department has been given to the PPP minister without portfolio Muhammad Sadiq Memon.

The additional charge of portfolio of Livestock Department, which earlier holds by the NPP’s Abid Jatoi, has been given to the PPP minister Agha Tamour Pathan.
