“Govt does not plan to impose restriction on gas generators” – Petroleum Advisor

ISLAMABAD: Advisor to the Prime Minister for Ministry of Oil and Natural resources Dr Asim Hussain has stated that despite of the fact that Winter season would cause problem with respect to the provision of gas supply, government has no plans of imposing restriction gas generators. He further vowed that the energy crisis within the country would further be eliminated by next year.

Addressing a news conference on Wednesday, Dr Asim stated that the recent petroleum policy has provided favorable results.

He further informed that a new gas reserve has been found within the country that would be able to provide approximately 300 to 400 billion cubic feet gas for the country. He further that almost 1 billion cubic feet gas would be combined within the running system by the end of the following year.

He also notified that a new oil reserve was also explored within the country stating that it would help the country to fulfill quarter of the current demand of crude oil within Pakistan.
