KARACHI: CID Police in Karachi disclosed the arrest of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi’s major activist Qasim Rasheed on Wednesday. The arrested accused carried a bounty worth 0.5 million Rupees.

Talking to media representatives on Wednesday, DIG (CID) Ghulam Shabeer Shaikh stated that the LeJ activist was arrested following a operation conducted within the Patel Para area of Karachi. He further stated that the arrested LeJ man was involved in various target killing incidents including MQM’s MPA Raza Haider.

The CID police recovered a Kalashnikov, a TT pistol and a hand grenade from the Qasim Rasheed’s possession.

DIG (CID) also added that the arrested was a notorious criminal who also had several police officers on his alleged hit list.
