ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudry on hearing a case pertaining to voters list remarked that Overseas Pakistanis should be given the right to vote.
During the hearing of the case related to bogus voter lists, the chief justice said that the court had been told that the procedure for Overseas Pakistanis to vote was facing difficulties although non-resident Pakistanis are a vital source of foreign income.
Chief Justice Chaudhry remarked that Pakistanis living abroad should be provided with postal ballot.
He remarked that if anyone had any complaint(s) pertaining to the electoral rolls, they should approach the concerned authorities for correction(s).
The hearing date although has been adjourned to Nov 7.
