Petroleum Ministry Advisor Asim Hussain resigns from Senate

ISLAMABAD: Petroleum Minsitry Advisor Dr Asim Hussain resigned from Senate on Tuesday. The resignationhas been approved by Chairman Senate Sabir Baloch.
The news was confirmed by Sabir Baloch when he was talking to media officials on Tuesday. “I have received Dr. Hussain’s resignation letter earlier today and I have accepted it,” stated Senate head.
Sabir Baloch further added that there was reason mentioned within the resignation letter.
According to sources, Dr Asim Hussain was also amongst the members of the Parliament named on the Dual Nationality list. Sources added that the resignation came forward so as to avoid any Court proceedings. Sources also stated that Dr Asim Hussain also held a Canadian nationality.
