The Federal Chamber of Commerce and Industry Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter and Iran’s Shiraz Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Sunday agreed to enhance cooperation pertaining to exchange of delegations, holding of exhibitions, slaughter house, hydropower projects, agriculture, livestock, oil and gas, technology and uplift of tourism and mineral sectors.
The memorandum of understanding signed by Vice President FPCCI KP chapter, Zubair Ali and President Shiraz Chamber, Faridoon Furqani during an impressive ceremony that was attended besides others by Senator Ghulam Ali and Information Minister, Mian Iftikhar Hussain.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor General Iran Faras Province, Hussain Sadiq Abideen said that Pakistan and Iran relations are based on historical perspective that would further cemented in days to come. He said by enhancing trade ties between the two countries, the trader’s community can largely benefit from the expertise of each others and earned valuable foreign exchange.
He said the traders and business community of Faras Province are ready to cooperate with the businessmen of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Director Foreign Affairs Faras, Syed Hassan Khalil, Deputy Governor General Faras, Ahmad Ali Afkari, Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Trade, Senator Ghulam Ali and Information Minister, Mian Iftikhar Hussain and other senior officials of both the country were present.
Senator Ghulam Ali upon the arrival of high level Iranian delegation while welcoming them expressed optimism that such visits would further promote trade ties and relations between the two countries.
He said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has huge potential in hydropower projects and underscored the need for Iranian investment in this sector.
President FPCCI, Zubair Ali said that such exchange of delegations would bring traders of both the country closer that would largely benefit the people.
