QUETTA: Pakistan People’s party (PPP) has suspended the membership of Chief minster Balochistan Nawab Aslam Raisani for three months, reported Aaj news here Thursday.
According to the sources, Nawab Raisani was suspended over continuous violation of party policies, he was also warned few month ago but had been violating the party’s policies for the past four years which was why his membership had been suspended.
Earlier, Raisani faced contempt of court for delaying earthquake compensation in the province.
On March 14, 2012, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) chief justice directed the federal government to conduct a survey to assess the loss of the people during the earthquake. When the court resumed hearing of the case on October 23, it found that its orders were not followed and no survey was conducted.
Upon this, the court issued contempt of court notices to relevant authorities, including CM Raisani.
