It might not emerge as a surprise that the word “sex” is heavily searched on the internet on a daily basis, but what may be considered a bit interesting is the fact that the word is favored a lot while being searched on the search engine Google with excessive traffic coming from Sri Lanka and India.
Such analysis is carried out be Google Trends, “which is a public web facility of Google Inc, based on Google Search, that shows how often a particular search-term is entered relative to the total search-volume across various regions of the world, and in various languages.”
According to the Google Trends statistics, Sri Lanka tops the list to have searched for the word “sex” while India follows at the second spot.
The trends further elaborate the search stating that most of the search within India was carried out during the week October 21-27 and November 11-17, 2012.
This is further been elucidated by stating that India’s Bangalore leads the list of cities searching for the word “sex”.
A worldwide city wise analysis shows India’s Bangalore at number 1 spot, followed by Chennai, Pune New Delhi and Calcutta.
The “sex” search analysis also shows Pakistan at number 5 with Lahore being the major contributor towards the search. Lahore is ranked at 6th on the worldwide cities list followed by Indian cities of Chandigarh and Mumbai.
