Indian Home Minister, Sushilkumar Shinde has said that fanatic Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) are fanning Hindu terrorism by running training camps.
Sushilkumar Shinde at the All India Congress Committee (AICC) meeting in Jaipur said, “Reports have come during investigation that BJP and RSS conduct terror training camps to spread terrorism. Bombs were planted in Samjhauta express, Makkah Masjid and also a blast was carried out in Malegaon. We will have to think about it seriously and will have to remain alert,” Kashmir Media Service reported.
“This has come so many times in the papers. It is not a new thing that I have said. This is saffron terrorism that I have talked about. It is the same thing and nothing new. It has come in the media several times,” Shinde maintained. To a question if it was Hindu terrorism or saffron terrorism, he said,”This is saffron terrorism (that) I have stated.” Shinde’s remarks were defended by several Congress leaders. CongressGeneral Secretary Digvijay Singh said, “It is not Hindu terrorism but Sangh-backed terrorism”. “I am 100 per cent with Shinde on this. This isn’t a secret.
I want tothank the Home Minister for saying what everyone knows but do not have thecourage to say,” party leader Mani Shankar Aiyar said.
